Dr. Gaurav Singh Gaur is an independent public leader, academic, and development professional from Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. The son of former UP minister Dr. Narendra Kumar Singh Gaur, he combines a gold-medal academic record, more than two decades of grassroots administrative experience, research, and the Brexwel® healthcare startup into a public-service journey focused on measurable social impact.

Roots in Education and Public Service
Born into a family where education and public service were not careers but convictions, Dr. Gaurav grew up watching his father — Professor Dr. Narendra Kumar Singh Gaur — shape the intellectual and civic life of Uttar Pradesh as a four-term MLA and multi-portfolio minister. That upbringing instilled a belief that leadership is not a podium but a responsibility: to the student who needs a classroom, the farmer who needs a fair price, and the patient who needs early, affordable care.
A Gold-Medal Academic Foundation
Dr. Gaurav's academic journey began at Allahabad University, where he graduated B.Com in 2000 as a Gold Medalist. He received the M.K. Ghosh Memorial Gold Medal for being a Topper in B.Com., the Allahabad Jubilee Silver Medal for being a Topper in B.Com., and the University Silver Medal for standing First in order of merit at B.Com. He subsequently completed PGDBM in Human Resource and Marketing Management from Amity Business School, Noida in 2002, M.Com from Kanpur University in 2005, and a PhD in Human Resource Management in Hospitals from UPRTOU, Prayagraj in 2011.
Grassroots Development & Agricultural Leadership
Since 2003, Dr. Gaurav has served as District Project Coordinator (DPC) for UPDASP, a World Bank Project, across Kaushambi, Pratapgarh, Mirzapur, Ghazipur, Chandauli, Sonebhadra, Sant Ravidas Nagar Bhadohi, Etah and Aligarh. Through crop diversification, technology adoption and grassroots agricultural development, his work has contributed to empowering more than 25,000 farmers. Earlier, in 2002, he Served as HR Manager at Birla Group of Industries, gaining practical experience in human resource management, marketing, corporate leadership and industrial operations.
Healthcare Startup: The Brexwel® Initiative
In 2023, Dr. Gaurav & Dr. Deepika founded DGRakshak Private Limited and advanced the Brexwel® health-tech startup, focused on an early breast-cancer screening device. The device is undergoing clinical trials at Moti Lal Nehru Medical College, Prayagraj, while its Indian and US patent applications have been published. The startup reflects an effort to connect academic research, healthcare technology and practical social impact.
